Prof. Laurence T. Yang

Laurence T. Yang got his BE in Computer Science and Technology and BSc in Applied Physics both from Tsinghua University, China and Ph.D in Computer Science from University of Victoria, Canada. He is the Academic Vice-President and Dean of School of Computer Science and Technology of Hainan University, China. His research includes Cyber-Physical-Social System Design and Data Analytics. He has published 300+ papers in the above areas on top IEEE/ACM Transactions with total citations of 31231 and H-index of 89 including 8 and 40 papers as top 0.1% and top 1% highly-cited ESI papers, respectively. He has been involved actively act as a steering chair for 10+ IEEE international conferences. He is the chair of IEEE CS Technical Committee of Scalable Computing (2008-2011, 2018-2021), the co-chair of IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Cybermatics (2016-), the co-chair of IEEE SC Hype-Intelligence Technical Committee (2021-), and the chair IEEE CIS Cyber-Physical-Social Systems Task Force (2019-) and the vice-chair of IEEE CIS Technical Committee on Smart World (2016-2019). In addition, he is serving as an editor for many international journals and is an author/co-author or an editor/co-editor of more than 25 books from well-known publishers, invited to give around 50 keynote talks at various international conferences and symposia. He is a Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering (2017), Engineering Institute of Canada (2019), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (2020), and Institution of Engineering and Technology (2020), as well as a member of Academia Europaea, the Academy of Europe (2021), respectively. His recent honors and awards include the John B. Stirling Medal (2021) from Engineering Institute of Canada, IEEE Sensor Council Technical Achievement Award (2020), IEEE Canada C. C. Gotlieb Computer Medal (2020), ACM Distinguished Scientist (2020), Clarivate Analytics (Web of Science Group) Highly Cited Researcher (2019, 2020, 2022), etc.

Prof. Haijun Zhang

Haijun Zhang (F'23) is currently a Full Professor and Associate Dean in School of Computer and Communications Engineering at University of Science and Technology Beijing, China. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada. 

He serves/served as Track Co-Chair of VTC Fall 2022 and WCNC 2020/2021, Symposium Chair of Globecom'19, TPC Co-Chair of INFOCOM 2018 Workshop on Integrating Edge Computing, Caching, and Offloading in Next Generation Networks, and General Co-Chair of GameNets'16. He serves/served as an Editor of IEEE Transactions on Communications, and IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering. He received the IEEE CSIM Technical Committee Best Journal Paper Award in 2018, IEEE ComSoc Young Author Best Paper Award in 2017, IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Best Young Researcher Award in 2019, IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer. He is a Fellow of IEEE.

Prof. Pei Xiao

University of Surrey, UK

Pei Xiao is a Professor in Wireless Communications at the Institute for Communication Systems, home of 5GIC. He received a BEng, MSc and PhD degree from Huazhong University of Science & Technology, Tampere University of Technology, Chalmers University of Technology, respectively.

Prior to joining Surrey in 2011, he worked at Newcastle University and Queen's University Belfast and had held positions at Nokia Network in Finland. He is the technical manager of 5GIC, leading and coordinating research activities and overseeing major projects in 5GIC. His main research interests and expertise span a wide range of areas in communications theory and signal processing for wireless communications.

Assoc. Prof. Chongwen Huang

Chongwen Huang,obtained his B. Sc. degree in 2010 from Nankai University, Binhai College, and the M.Sc degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC, Chengdu) in 2013. He joined the Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IECAS, Beijing) as a research engineer from Jul. 2013. Since Sep. 2015, he started his Ph.D. journey in Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD, Singapore) and CentraleSupélec University (Paris, France), under the supervision of Prof. Chau YUEN and Prof. Mérouane DEBBAH. From Oct. 2019 to Sep. 2020, he is a postdoc  researcher in his mother University SUTD.  Since Sep. 2020, he joined into Zhejiang University as a tenure-track assistant professor.

His main research interests are focused on Holographic MIMO Surface/Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface, B5G/6G Wireless Communication, mmWave/THz Communications, Deep Learning technologies for Wireless communications, etc. He was a recipient of Singapore Government Ph.D. scholarship, and received PHC Merlion Ph.D. Grant 2016-2019 for studying in CentraleSupélec, France. In addition, he also received more than 10 outstanding scholarships coming from China and industries, which involves the ``Tang Lixin'' Overseas Scholarship, National Postgraduate Scholarship, National Scholarship for Outstanding Self-funded Students, etc.

Assoc. Prof. Zhengyu Zhu

Zhu Zhengyu graduated from Zhengzhou University in 2017 with a doctorate degree in Information and Communication Engineering, and his doctoral dissertation was awarded the excellent doctoral dissertation of Henan Province. From October 2013 to October 2015, he was funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and trained as a doctoral student in Korea University (Korea University) under the supervision of Professor Inkyu Lee (IEEE Fellow). Major research areas include wireless communication and signal processing, 5G/6G, Internet of Things, machine learning, intelligent reflector assisted communication, millimeter wave communication, drone communication, physical layer security, wireless collaborative networks, convex optimization technology, and portable energy transmission.

It has been published in the IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, and IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, IEEE Systems Journal, IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, IEEE Communications More than 80 SCI/EI papers have been published in international journals such as Letters. After the publication of the paper, it has received attention from domestic and foreign peers and has been cited more than 1000 times. It has applied for 29 national invention patents, 12 of which have been authorized. He is the author of internationally renowned journals Journal of Communications and Networks, Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing and Physical Guest editor (AE) of Communications. Member of the Internet of Things Expert Committee of the Chinese Society of Electronics, member of the Deep Learning Committee of the Chinese Society of Artificial Intelligence. He has been a reviewer of IOTJ, TWC, TC, TVT, WCL, TIFS, SJ, ICC, Globecom and other authoritative journals or conferences for many times.

Prof. Boyang Qu

Zhongyuan University of Technology, China

B.Y. Qu received the B.E. degree and Ph.D. degree from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is an Professor of the School of Electric and Information Engineering, Zhongyuan University of Technology, China.

He is a regular reviewer of some journals including IEEE Transactions On Evolutionary Computation, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Part B、Information Sciences,  Neurocomputing, Swarm and Evolutionary Computation、multidimensional systems and signal processing. His research interests include evolutionary computation, multi-modal optimization, and multi-objective optimization. He has authored more than 70 SCI/EI research articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences, which are cited more than 3600 times according to Google citation and her h-index is 24.

Prof. Changsen Zhang

Henan Polytechnic University, China

Changsen Zhang received the B.S. degree from Northeast University, China, in 1992, and the Ph.D. degree from the China University of Mining and Technology in 2003. He is currently a Full Professor and the Ph.D. Tutor of telecommunications with the Department of Communication and Information System, Henan Polytechnic University. He is also an Outstanding Young Science and Technology Expert in Jiaozuo and serves as an Academic Leader for information and communication engineering in Henan.

His main research interests include wireless sensor network, modern communications technology, and wireless networks’ protocols. He was a recipient of the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.

Assoc. Prof. Di Zhang

Zhengzhou University, China

Di Zhang is an associate professor at Zhengzhou University, China, and is also an adjunct researcher of Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan. He is an Area Editor of KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems, Editor of IEEE Access, and IET Quantum Communication. He has served as a Guest Editor of the IEEE Wireless Communications Special Issue on 5GB Remote e-Health and the IEEE Network Special Issue on Licensed and Unlicensed Spectrum for Future 5G/B5G Wireless Networks. In 2019, he received the ITU Young Author Award and the IEEE Outstanding Leadership Award.

His research interests include e-health, information theory, signal processing, and the Internet of Things.

Prof. Baofeng Ji

Henan University of Science and Technology, China

Baofeng Ji received his Ph.D. degree from Southeast University, China. He is currently a professor at Henan University of Science and Technology, Longmen Laboratory, and Henan Academy of Sciences.

His research interests include the loT, cooperative communications, and millimeter-wave communications.

Assoc. Prof. Gangtao Han

Zhengzhou University, China

Gangtao Han (Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree from the School of Information Engineering, Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, China, in 2017. He was a Visiting Student with the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, McMaster University, Hamilton, ON, Canada, from September 2014 to September 2016.

He is currently an Associate Professor with Zhengzhou University. His research interests include wireless communications, signal processing, and physical layer security.

Assoc. Prof. Xingwang Li

Li Xingwang, Doctor of Engineering, Associate Professor, master supervisor, teacher of School of Physics and Electronic Information, Henan Polytechnic University, graduated from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2015. Member of the National 5th Generation Mobile Communication Standardization Promotion Organization IMT-2020 (5G) large-scale antenna group, Member of the Chinese Society of Communications, Member of Chinese Society of Artificial Intelligence, unit liaison of RISTA Intelligent metasurface Technology Alliance, unit liaison of China Mobile Passive Internet of Things Technology Joint Innovation Center, IEEE Senior Member. He was selected as one of the world's top 2% Top scientists for two consecutive years (21,2022), won the Outstanding Instructor Award of the National Finals of the China Graduate Electronic Design Competition, and a Visiting Scholar of Queen's University Belfast (2017.9-2018.9). He presided over and participated in 4 national projects (1 863 project, 2 national science and technology major projects, 1 National Natural Science Foundation), 3 provincial and ministerial projects, 2 national key laboratory open fund, 1 departmental project, and won 3 provincial and ministerial second prizes and 3 departmental first prizes; Guided master students to obtain the excellent master's degree thesis of Henan Province, guided undergraduates to obtain the "third prize" of the Internet + provincial competition. During the period of doctoral study, he was awarded the outstanding research of the School of Information and Communication of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and the outstanding graduate student of the State Key Laboratory of Network and Switching Technology. In recent years, he has published more than 100 academic papers of various kinds, of which 58 are included in SCI; Authorized 25 national invention patents, published 5 monographs; Submitted two domestic IMT-2020 thematic proposals.

The research field mainly focuses on new theories and technologies for the next generation (5G and Beyond) broadband mobile communication systems, with specific research directions including: Non-orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA), intelligent Reflector communication, physical layer security, environmental backscatter communication, massive MIMO, 3D MIMO, hardware-limited communication, fading channel performance analysis, wireless information and energy cooperative transmission, optical communication (FSO), etc.
